Toyota and Shell to offer 36-point free vehicles inspection for all car brands

In conjunction with the festive season of Ramadhan, Harvest Festival, Hari Gawai as well as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, UMW Toyota Motor and Shell Malaysia are launching the “Balik Kampung Safety Campaign” aimed to make motoring safer as thousands of Malaysians embark on their ‘balik kampung’ journeys.
 
For the first time, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) and Shell Malaysia are offering 36-point free inspections to vehicles of all makes at 20 selected Shell stations nationwide. Trained personnel from Toyota will be conducting the inspections.

“This is our first partnership with Shell Malaysia in a safety campaign as our contribution towards making our roads safer. We fully support the government’s efforts to reduce accidents on the roads and through this safety campaign, we can help to ensure vehicles are in a safe condition for their long journeys,” said Mr. Ravindran K, President of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd.

 “We have carefully identified Shell stations for the free vehicle inspections. It is selected not only based on convenient locations but also the integrated offerings available at these stations. For complete ease of mind on your journey home this festive season, besides the free 36 point inspection, customer can have their car engine oil changed at Shell Helix Service Centre, take a break and grab refreshments at our Shell SELECT/KEDAI, and fuel up with our Shell Fuels with DYNAFLEX Technology that is designed for efficiency,” said Shairan Huzani Husain, Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. and Shell Timur Sdn. Bhd. “Both Shell and Toyota cares for our customers’ safety on the road and would like to ensure our customers are well prepared for their journey home this festive season,” he added.

The free vehicle inspections will start from 10am to 5pm on the following dates at selected Shell stations:

This offer is open to Toyota vehicles and other car brands. Each inspection should take not more than 15 minutes. Car owners who send their vehicles for the free vehicle inspection will receive a goodie bag (while stocks last). For Toyota car owners, they will receive a 10% discount voucher for selected parts purchased at Toyota Service Centres. On top of that, the first 10 customers of the day will receive a RM10 Fuels voucher from Shell Malaysia.

This collaboration with Shell Malaysia also enables Toyota car owners to conveniently replace their airbag inflator system (subject to eligibility and car model) at these selected Shell stations. The replacement work will take around 1 hour depending on the car model. Owners who are uncertain if their vehicle is on the recall list for airbag replacement can check via toyota.com.my, or at the service counters at these Shell stations. For Toyota customers who are eligible for airbag replacement, UMWT will be giving a Service Discount Booklet as well.
